Why broadband speed slows down?
When I download big files like videos or music album, I find my connection speed falls sharply. Why is it so? Is it normal?

If so, anything can be done to boost the speed while downloading files?

Thanks.

It naturally happens. It is the bandwidth that determines the downloading speed. How many people are sharing the line is another factor (this is called contention ratio)

If you feel your broadband speed slows down, when you are downloading files, it is a good idea to upgrade your package to higher speed (8 Mb or higher).

What is the configuration of your PC? If it is old PC with low configuration, insufficient memory, that may also affect the broadband speed.

Check for the high speed broadband packages and compare them to choose the suitable package for you.

Heya,

If your using the internet mainly for downloading large files, then i would strongly recommend you upgrade your package.Low speed broadband packages are mainly used for people who check there emails now and again, and do a small amount of web surfing, and who are not as passionate about using the computer.
