When you boot the system, press F8 or F10, you will see different options to start your Windows OS. Choose safe mode, in case, if you had problems in starting your windows earlier.

Usually, starting in safe mode is advisable when you did not shut down your system properly. Automatically, your Pc may ask you to boot windows giving various options to choose from.

Yes i was advised to do this when i rang up a Technical Support line when i had a problem with my Hardrive this was due to me shutting my computer down in the in-correct manner. This resolved it, good luck i hope it solves whatever your trying to overcome, or if its just your learning about computing hope you can do this successfully.

Sometimes we need to reboot the system in safe mode, especially if any driver files have become corrupt or the system fails to boot in normal mode.

It is better to reboot the system in safe mode, find out the problem and replace the corrupt files with new files.
