Why is broadband good?
The benefits of broadband are related to speed of the connection. If you're using dial-up Internet access, you will know that sites generally take 10 seconds or more to load and downloading e-mails can take a few minutes.

I don't agree even a broadband connection even with a good speed in UK can take more than 10 seconds in busy hours as connctions here are really slow.

I agree with Funtoosh. There are plenty more factors involved besides the speed of connection. For instance, if you have a very slow processor that is doing the many things it does at once and you are connected with a good speed to the interenet you still could be running very slow overall and be unhappy. Then you also have to account for the server in which you are trying to get the websites from. If they have a lot of traffic then you might time out before the page loads.

I use cable- it seems to be the only one I can get around here.
