Remote connection programs?
I have a friend who has numerable simple problems with his XP Home machine, but being Home, it doesn't have the remote connection feature.

If looking for some advice on which program to use to establish this connection - preferably so they can watch me controlling the mouse on the screen so then can see what I do, and than hopefully stop asking me some much to help them over skype, hehe.

If your looking for a service, I would recomment Co-Pilot or WebEx. These deal with the whole security thing so you dont have to but cost.

If you want a free alternative look at VNC, there are many variants of it, but the one I use is TightVNC, mainly because it does screen compression, although others may do that now.

Thanks for the advice

I have heard of the VNC name I think, so will try this one you recommended first, and then the logmein one second. Will see which one is the easiest to install for my friend as they are very 'noob' with computers.

TeamViewer - Free Desktop Sharing and Remote Control
Use this and you can easily show your friend what moves you are making and also it saves then for you.
