Router stops working.
My router stops working after 3-4 hours of continuous. Is it the case with every router or just mine is having some trouble?

This is not the normal at all. What do you mean by not working?

How many machines do you have connected on the internal network?

If you mean that the router is loosing connection to the internet, how do you know it's the router and not the computer?

Assuming it is the router, how well is it ventilated? If theres a large build up of heat, that could cause the loss of a connection, but if you turn it on and after 3-4 hours it looses from a cold start, then the router may be malfunctioning.

Have you researched whether there is a firmware update?

I too would do as instructed, if you can rule out the router or another item then you will be able to determine what the problem is. If they router is shutting down you might need to make some adjustments.

Have you had this problem with other routers.

Some times, router shuts down because there is something fried inside its system. Maybe a capacitor or transistor or whatever. If you had done the firmware update or eliminated the router and still the problem occurs, it's high time to change it. If your router is new, ask for a refund. Else, get a more durable one.

It really does seem to be a problem with the router, I have never experienced anything like this even when used crappy equipment. So you need to try with another router and see if there is a problem.
