How do I take my BT number to Virgin?

I have my phone line with BT but the broadband line with Virgin and I want to take my same BT number to virgin.

Any help???

Confirm whether you have cancelled the telephone line with BT.

No i have not done it as yet.I would like to know the step-by-step procedures for cancelling my account with BT?

You have to contact virgin and tell them you want to port your existing number to Virgin, they will give you a temporary number & then transfer your number over once the installation is completed. Make sure the Virgin installers site the new phone socket next to the BT one & transfer any phone extensions over to the Virgin.
