Why do people use AOL?
This is a question I have: Why on earth would someone deliberately choose an isp who's only asset is to shout that said customer knows nothing about the computers. I just don't get it.

There are lots of people there that don't know a thing about a computer and would get AOL and then learn about other companys , also the easy way out of every thing is to also say that there is nothing worng with me

Untrained computer users would be the only ones using the service, once they learn how to use a computer and then learn about other options they are sure to change service.

Absolutely right. I think it is very easy for someone who has got to grips with a computer to underestimate how intimidating computers are to the new user.

That is right it is very intimidating for many people. I do have to say this for them. It is easier to go to the Mall (AOL) to get what you need then it is to go from place to place (the rest of the net) for many new users.

Once they realize that they can access all of those places and more from other services they may consider changing, some people never will because they can do what they want from that service.
