Epitro releases IPI report on UK broadband providers
Despite being new entrant to UK broadband market, O2 broadband seems to outperform other major providers, at least in technical area. The Spanish based mobile cum broadband provider also owns Be services which has an excellent network of LLU that helps to provide high speeds up to 24 meg.

Epitro released its list of top 5 ISPs for last two quarters of 2007 and another surprising member is Orange which has been criticized for its poor customer service. AOL and TalkTalk failed to make it while the list does not consider Virgin's service for test as it is a cable ISP.

More details

Epitro puts only eleven major ISPs on its test to find out their performance. Cable ISPs like Virgin Media are not considered for this performance test. As such, I don't think that the results will show exact facts.
I agree with the report that O2 broadband is certainly doing well while I wonder how Orange is able to replace AOL or TalkTalk in the table. Personally, I think that TalkTalk is one of the best ISPs both in terms of service and money value.
