Alert mobile users!

One of the Vodafone mobile users used his mobile as modem for his laptop and downloaded big files and eventually got a huge monthly bill. 24,000 pounds. The man has no sufficient funds to clear the bill and begging for mercy from the mobile operator.

Sometime back, a man in Canada started this thing and was billed thousands of dollars and was later made to pay just a part of the amount.

Has it happened because of ignorance or both of them have gone reckless or something?

I think mainly because they have gone reckless i mean all that money thats extremly shocking.I think vodophone were being harsh though i mean how big were these files?I certainly wouldn't pay all that thats ridiculous.
