Pipex introduces a new package - Pipex Pro

Earlier, AOL revamped its products by going wireless. Their Wireless and Wireless Plus provide wireless support to your broadband connection. UK ISPs upgrade their products adding features or changing technical speification of their packages.

Now, it is Pipex's turn to introduce changes in its product line up. Instead of three pacakges - Pipex MIni, Pipex Midi and Pipex Max, you get one more package configured for heavy user - Pipex Pro.

The major change that Pipex has done is the capping of all its packages - 2 GB, 10 GB, 30 GB and 100 GB. You also get a wireless router with all packages except Pipex Mini.

Wilth all packages, you also get free evening & weekend UK calls. If you consider bundling, take Anytime call plan for just £5 a month.

However, one off connection fee of £20 is with all packages.

Pipex has introduced the hidden cost like one off connection fee like most ISPs. Only attractive feature that I found in the changes that Pipex made was the inclusion of free evening & weekend calls.

It was really disappointing to see the removal of 'unlimited' from Pipex Max and heavy users may hesitate to consider the new 30 GB limit and may rather opt for Pipex Pro. May be that was the marketing strategy of Pipex.

I have herd many people who are on the Pipex as there Internet Server Providor are expereincing, slow internet speeds.However, this could be as there far away from the exchange connecting through a wireless router.
