ISPA announces 10th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards for 2008
This year's ISPAs or the 10th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards for 2008. have been launched by ISPA, UK. The awards consists of two broad categories - ISP division and a special award section that include awards like Internet Villain.
The ISPs who wish to contest for various award sections will be put under a performance testing by Epitro and thereafter the winners will be judged based on the performance guided by various criteria. The last date for entry has been announced as 31st August. The announcement of the winners of awards will be staged with ceremonious settings in London in February, next year.
This year, ISPA has introduced new awards like Best Dedicated Hosting and Best Shared Hosting awards and these awards will replace the Best Business Host and Best Consumer Host awards.
The Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA) which has been promoting fair business practices among broadband providers in UK, has been recognized by Ofcom to settle the issues between UK broadband customers and their providers. Most of the well-known ISPs in UK are voluntary members of ISPs thus are subjected to the code of practice formulated by ISPA.
