local sewers were used to install a fibre broadband
In The University of Aberdeen local sewers were used to install a fiber line aimed at connecting the main campus with its student village halls of residence, replacing an existing microwave Internet link.
Could the sewers in all other places ?

Reminds me of this Google's April Fools joke last year.

Generically yes it could be used to run fibre pretty much everywhere, however you do still have the issue of getting it out as sewers tend to come out in not very nice places and cant say I would like cables coming into my house via a sewer without a VERY smell tight seal.

Google make some thing out of nothing so you have to take you hat off to them ,no one was thinking that there was a market in the search engine at that time

Use of fiber cable in lieu of the ordinary cable is much in demand these days as it prevents disconnection and provides a good speed to the users of LAN

What a job installing fibre cable in the sewers i don't 100% think these will work.I mean who do you call for this service? How do we know its not going to let the smell from the sewers into our house if there is a breakage in the wire in the sewers.
