UK's top five ADSL broadband providers
Epitro released a list of top five UK ADSL broadband providers based on their performance, connection speed and customer satisfaction. BT ranks first in the table followed by Demon.

Tiscali got the third position and Pipex follows it. The report says Tiscali delivers the fastest net speed to their customers. Are you a Tiscali customer?

Pipex and Demon are steadily maintiaining their growth, the report says.

Unfortunately, none of them is my provider as I have subscribed to Eclipse broadband six months ago.

Thats interesting, as most of the ones you mentioned tend to be near the bottom of other polls I see. I know that Pipex support tends to be hell on earth, glad I'm shot of them now.

On this one those mentioned are all near the bottom. Which are rated by the actual users of the service.

I've heard good things about Demon, but all of the others I'm suprised to see on the list - I've heard nothing but bad things about BT, and as an ex Tiscali customer I can say their billing department are a nightmare to deal with (doubled up Direct Debits are NOT fun).

Demon are very good, so i'd be surprised if anyone had anything bad to say about them. They are, however, primarily as business isp; meaning that they aren't interested in herding the maximum possible customers in. This is good, as it gives better service, but it does mean that less people have heard of them or use them.
