I was with BT for a short time and also ended up cancelling my agreement with them. Basically, they were in breach of the terms and conditions of the agreement and so I terminated the contract.
ANyone requiring help from BT basically aren't going to get it unless they shout loud enough and with a large PLC it's incredibly difficult.
What I found is that if one e-mails the chairman of BT direct, one would be surprised at the speed with which his personal team resolve issues and put things right.

If you insist that things are resolved immediately he will see to it that your problems are resolved.
