Ethernet over Power
Has anyone tried this? Personally I think its great, I have a pair of 85Mbit plugs. Just plug one near your router, put an ethernet cable into the router and the other end into the plug, then do the same where you want the network to come out, within seconds a nice stable network connection.
Works great for me, I reciently moved from a 2 floor house to a 3 floor house, wireless router is downstairs and the XBox 360 on the top floor. The wireless signal is pretty pants so I wanted a way to stream video to the XBox 360. This was hard enough with 802.11G at the best of times but with these plugs its childs play. Next step for me is to upgrade to the 200MBit ones so I can stream HD movies up stairs.
I still use my wireless for the laptops that dont need a fast connection, but I'm more than happy with my HomePlugs.
