Doubt its much to do with the router itself, but here are a few things to check
- The antenna isnt broken
- The router isnt too near any other electronic equipment that may interfere
- The router or laptop isnt near an operating Microwave
- Your not using cordless phones (They on the whole use the same radio spectrum as WIFI and cause interferance)
- Check the antenna on the reciving end.
- Try it in a different place, the wall between the rooms could be absorbing/reflecting the signal
When people cant recieve signals its normally the reciever thats the issue not the transmitter.
